Sex and the City- a guys perspective

Sex and the City fever has hit the female population of NYC this week, I keep reading articles everyday about woman from all around the globe spending thousands to celebrate the Grand opening of this event, cosmos, fancy hotels, and shoe shopping, right now this is the female super bowl weekend in Vegas, we go to strip clubs and gamble , they go get brunch, sip on 15$ mimosas and hit up Jimmy Choo later on. Now granted most guys look at this and feel emasculated by the amount of hormones in the air, they would never take a moment to watch this show because us men are a proud gender who would never submit themselves to watch a show about 4 women shopping and talking about guys, I mean the premise alone is enough to make most men squeamish. I happen to be different in the sense that I happen to embrace the "horror" and in the following few paragraphs ill explain why it makes sense for all men to see this movie or at least watch the show............

I first started really catching this show late night on TBS or WPIX, it was late, nothing else was on so I decided what the hell......and a funny thing happened, I actually began to enjoy it, it had its moments where i felt like my feminine side had gone way too far out on a limb, but it had its moments... the big thing is as I continued watching it, the more I realized it was cheating for men, and the more I watched the show from that angle, the more I realized this fact, I felt like Bill Belicheck before a Superbowl I knew the other teams playbook inside and out, I began to understand how females ticked.

Now by no means do I consider myself a Casanova, I feel like most men out there are just like me relationshiply confused, I think the majority of men have wondered over and over again what the fu##k!! about certain relationships they've been in, wondered what the hell she meant when said that, or what she meant by when she did this........a lot of times we are left wondering when it all ends or when you end it, what the hell happened.......enter Sex and the City...

The show is great from the perspective of you have 4 woman, each of them similar but all very different, I personally felt like I have been in some sort of relationships with each of them and in each of these relationships I have always either questioned myself or them and wondered why, but the more I have watched this show things just add up and I feel I'm better off for watching it. I feel a slight bit emasculated, but hell I feel that much smarter, especially being a single guy in the city.....

For those that don't know the show revolves around Carrie Bradshaw, an aspiring writer who writes a column for the local paper, it deals with her and her friends relationships and life in the big apple.....now as for the cast

Carrie is the most normal of all them, she nice , sassy, and to this day I'm still confused if shes attractive or not, she has a string of failed relationships, but keeps falling for the one guy who just doesn't want her, and leaves many a guy questioning what went wrong......but through this shows eyes you see her thought process, as confused as it may be, it at least shows how she came to certain conclusions....

Miranda is the hard nosed lawyer, who is afraid to express emotionally.... her character pretty much revolves around her and her baby's dad who she has emotions for but is afraid to express them until the last few seasons......Shes a career driven woman who doesn't like things like big weddings, etc...

Charlotte is the happy , nice, sweet girl who's just overly nice, but beyond all of that shes a little bit of a vixen in the bedroom.....She s the token nice girl who everyone falls for but can just get annoying after a while

And Last is Samantha, another career woman who is just completely promiscuous and doesn't care what anyone thinks.......there's also an insecure side to her that comes out in times, she tries to be similar to a man but the hormones hold her back, she doesn't commit and finds it hard when she actually falls for someone what to do...........

Personally I feel like I've dated or know each of these women and feel like most guys have been in my spot and we've all questioned ourselves or them, whether we were the ones to cause the breakup or they were, this show for any guy who cares is like having the single female NYC playbook in which we can use to our advantage, I look at watching this show as studying for Saturday night, to wrap it up I implore all guys to start watching and maybe after the hype dies down to catch the matinee........

People who just need a hug Part I

Today's blog I'm dedicating to people who really just need to be sat down, given a cup a coffee, a 5 minute heart to heart talk with me, and hopefully in the words of Ari Gold, to "lets just hug it out, bitch", each of these people below have some sort of issues which Ill go into further detail below, and I feel like i can help them, maybe I'm just some idiot spending some time on his computer, but I feel I can make a difference........so without further ado, people who need a hug.......

The First person is the religious fanatic, this person has found Jesus again, or is praising Allah, or maybe hes just eating kosher. He's the basketball player who found god a week after getting caught blowing lines of coke with two cheerleaders in his hotel room and getting caught in a DWI going 120 mph on the highway....These people feel very strongly about their god, and feel the need to let you know about it at every moment possible, they make you feel bad about not going to church, not praying enough, and are generally BFF'S with Jesus, Mohammad, Moses, etc........I just cant get how people take themselves seriously everyday quoting scripture.....this is the first person I just want to sit down and just hug it out, let them live life a little more......

I'm going to move to a little bit of Hollywood Flavor here, starting with none other than Paris Hilton, young, beautiful, rich, and absolutely retarded.......How does anyone in Hollywood allow her to have own TV show, I watched 5 mins of the simple life one night and almost broke my TV it was that painful. The first sex video was one thing, but to make another , who's talking to this young girl, I mean seriously I feel she just needs a hug

Next up I'm going to enter the world of politics with none other than Mrs. Hillary, I always look at her as the comsumnate politician, someone who will just go along with the masses, because it will win her the most votes, she'll be rocking a Yankee hat with her female suit, and not know one Yankee, shell run for Senate in NY and not even be from NY, all for power, shes an absolute bull in a china shop who will not stop till she becomes the most powerful person in the world, right now shes destroying the democratic party by not stepping aside because her ego is massive which is pretty much guaranteeing us 4 more years of a republican in the White House(at least it'll help with my taxes) and by looking at the photo I put in here, she just desperately needs to take a time out, sit down with me and talk it out.....tell me what shes all about and to calm down a little bit

Good old Brittany Spears, what happened to my crush of 1999, seriously look at the picture what the hell happened to her?? If anyone on this blog needs a hug more than anyone in the world it s her.....Shes not a train wreck, shes a Shuttle launch disaster, I mean Kevin Federline, Come on what s up with that, hes just the most slimy looking person ever, he knocked her up with 2 kids in like 18 months, when he already had 2 with his last wife, I tell you what hes pretty damn fertile that guy, maybe that's the attraction, I don't know, well going on she put on 50 lbs, she did a horrible lip syncing job at some awards show, and she keeps going in and out of rehab clinics on a daily basis, anyone just think about sitting down 5 minutes and hugging it out with her, I don't know I think i can help......

This is not someone famous by any means, this is just your average jersey shore guy from Brooklyn, Staten Island, NJ region....hes in a bad need of a hug......here's a guy who spends all winter in the gym, just to look good for a club, his only goal in life is to have his hair perfectly spiked the perfect tan and a girl named Tina dancing with him to a mind numbing techno beat, the Guidosaurus lives for mob movies, lives for the tanning salon, and loves tight fitting t-shirts........just don't touch the hair



Finally the last group of people are the angry terrorist in the desert, now these guys are just angry period, they're sort of clumped in with the religious fanatics but they're just angry and willing to blow themselves up at any whim for Allah......now at this point in time, they've been fighting for so long over there, I don't even think they know what they're fighting about, I just want to be able to talk to these guys, but for way longer than 5 minutes, maybe 30, I have some ideas to make them happier, like they have the sand out there already what about intramural volleyball, how bout lets get rid of the full outfits their girls wear, and maybe give them T-shirts and jeans, I feel like I can help, it would be my job for the country, a payback to the good old US of A.........just give me some time with these guys, whether I can bring them to a baseball game, a nudy bar, or just start up a fantasy football draft with them I don't know I feel like I can make a difference......

So there you have it, Part I of people who just need to be sat down and given a hug, I would to hear suggestions of some other people you may think are in desperate need of one.....let me know

NBA

As my friend the critic just wrote, Lebron - Pierce was definitely a classic, I spent a Sunday afternoon watching this game go back and forth between these two talented thoroughbreds, It amazes me the things Lebron can do on the court, hes like a cross between MJ and Magic, yet hes built like a middle linebacker and hes 22 years old.....at 22 I was interning making 10$ an hour. As for conference championships coming up, Celtics - Pistons, Lakers - Spurs, were left with probably the top 4 teams in the league, although not necessarily the best TV match up.....and god help me if there's a Spurs-Pistons final, I may have to break out the NY Liberty jersey and go to a game or two, would there be anything for than another Spurs Pistons final......for some reason they're two completely bland ball clubs with no real distinguishable players, hell they really are the Anti-NBA, ever since the league was marketed as the league of the individual, Think MJ, Bird, Magic......not Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, its been a lot more fun watching one person than a team play. For example, I wouldn't miss one game between the Celtics/Cavs, because I was transfixed on Lebron, I feel I'm not alone in this assessment, somehow the greatness of the individual is more intriguing to watch than the team, especially in the NBA, which is why I believe I enjoy watching college ball a little bit better, its never really about the player with me, more about the team.....well I kind of got off the main subject at hand, the league is praying for a lakers-celtics finale.....it needs it the same way the Knicks need to get one of the top 2 picks tonight, why do I see some ref favoritism headed Kobe's way this series, Duncans eyes literally might fly out of his head when he pulls his I cant believe you called a foul on me look, probably one of the most annoying faces one could have. I also see Rasheed getting T'd up a total of 7 times in the Celtics- Pistons series as the league needs Boston in there.

Right now I want to love the NBA, they have such an amazing array of talent out there, maybe more at once than ever before(that's up for debate in another blog), but the league cant afford another Det-S.A. series, so I implore you as fans to pray, write to your congressman, do whatever is necessary so that we don't have this awful match up from happening again.
